On March 20, Avalanche unveiled that Alipay’s Alipay+ D-store and associated e-wallets are leveraging Avalanche’s cutting-edge technology for a Web3-based voucher initiative.
This innovative program was first introduced in Southeast Asian milk tea outlets, offering consumers the chance to win vouchers through an engaging mini-game.
Successful completion of the game allows customers to claim significant discounts on their next milk tea purchase, directly through their e-wallet.
Avalanche has articulated that these vouchers provide up to a 50% discount at over 500 participating milk tea stores, demonstrating a substantial incentive for consumer participation.
The vouchers are facilitated by an Avalanche Subnet, meticulously crafted and operated by AvaCloud, Avalanche’s blockchain service.
This integration not only enhances the consumer experience but also offers a unique opportunity for brands like Alipay to explore and implement Web3 solutions.

“The POC will allow brands like Alipay+ D-store to test Web3 solutions, including how they can help merchants foster new forms of interaction with users, helping retain them and generate new revenue streams,” Avalanche stated, emphasizing the potential of Web3 technologies to transform brand-customer interactions.
