Gauntlet is seeking a Business Development/Governance professional with a strong background in crypto-native environments to expand its impact within the DeFi sector. This pivotal role involves defining outbound partnership strategies, acting as Gauntlet’s governance liaison, and spearheading business development initiatives through both new and existing relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute outbound partnership strategies to enhance the presence and effectiveness of Gauntlet’s products and services.
  • Actively participate as Gauntlet’s representative in decentralized governance forums, executing on/off chain votes and leveraging these platforms to forge strategic partnerships.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure for both pre-launch and launched protocols.
  • Collaborate closely with the Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Finance teams to ensure Gauntlet’s offerings are optimally positioned within targeted markets.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends in DeFi and related industries to continuously adapt and refine business strategies.
  • Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders across the industry to foster long-term partnerships and business growth.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience in Crypto/DeFi business development, partnerships, or governance.
  • Profound knowledge of lending protocols, their operational mechanisms, and growth strategies.
  • Proven track record in identifying and structuring initial partnership agreements within the DeFi landscape.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve business goals.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical details to diverse audiences.
  • Self-driven with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously across multiple time zones.

Desirables:

  • Established network within the crypto community.
  • Experience managing or directly working with lending protocols and structuring DeFi integrations.
  • Previous roles as a delegate in major DAOs or governance leadership within well-known protocols.
  • Technical or mathematical background with the capability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
