The Corporate Development & Ventures team works closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to develop strategies and execute opportunities for mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments, and partnerships. This team plays a crucial role in advancing Coinbase’s mission and business objectives.


  • Conduct market research, synthesize findings, and collaborate with senior team members to propose recommendations that shape company and product strategy.
  • Drive the execution of mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments, and partnerships, including sourcing opportunities, conducting market landscapes, performing financial analysis, and coordinating due diligence.
  • Develop perspectives on key competitors, analyzing their strengths and weaknesses and the implications for Coinbase.
  • Cultivate cross-functional relationships with executives to assist in the implementation of high-priority strategic initiatives.
  • Build strong connections with industry players, startups, and investors to stay ahead of new developments.
  • Enhance existing processes within the Corporate Development team and contribute to recruiting and developing new team members.


  • 3-5+ years of experience at a top-tier company in investment banking, management consulting, corporate development, strategic finance, or private equity.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, coupled with a strong work ethic and intellectual curiosity for crypto.
  • Passion for understanding new technology and contributing to team initiatives.
  • BA/BS degree.


  • Experience in financial services and/or consumer internet, especially with a focus on digital currency.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional senior executives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience negotiating and closing deals.


  • Competitive base salary ranging from $127,075 to $149,500 USD, depending on location and experience.
