Job Description:

BOB (“Build on Bitcoin”) is a first-of-its kind hybrid L2 network that connects Bitcoin and Ethereum. BOB empowers everyone to build and innovate on Bitcoin today by combining EVM smart contracts with tooling for Bitcoin-native protocols and assets such as Ordinals. Merging the security of Ethereum rollup technology with Bitcoin’s Proof-of-Work makes BOB the most secure and reliable layer 2 network. Through trust-minimized bridges to both Ethereum and Bitcoin, BOB efficiently funnels liquidity from the two leading web3 economies.

 

As a Business Development Representative (BDR) for BOB, you will be instrumental in driving adoption and forming strategic partnerships within the DeFi community. You will identify, engage, and nurture relationships with key stakeholders such as decentralized applications (dApps), liquidity providers, exchanges, wallets, and other ecosystem partners. Your main goal will be to expand the reach of our Layer 2 solution, boost user adoption, and drive platform growth.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
  • 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or partnership management within another L2 project.
  • Strong understanding of Bitcoin, Layer 2 scaling solutions, and the broader DeFi landscape.
  • Proven track record of building and managing strategic partnerships, driving revenue growth, and achieving business objectives.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self-starter with a results-driven mindset, capable of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Research: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify potential partners, competitors, and emerging trends in the Bitcoin and DeFi ecosystem.
  • Lead Generation: Proactively identify and qualify leads through various channels, including outreach campaigns, events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
  • Partnership Development: Build and manage relationships with strategic partners, including dApps, liquidity providers, exchanges, wallets, and other ecosystem participants.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, marketing, and legal, to drive partnership integrations and initiatives.
  • Education and Enablement: Educate partners and the broader community about the benefits and opportunities of our Layer 2 solution, providing necessary support and guidance.
  • Deal Negotiation: Lead negotiations and manage the execution of partnership agreements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic priorities.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics, including partnership pipelines, conversion rates, and revenue impact.
