STEPN GO’s Alpha Testing phase has officially launched, bringing exciting new features designed to enhance user engagement and fitness rewards. This new iteration of the popular app builds on its predecessor by integrating social connectivity with physical activity, offering users innovative ways to earn and interact.
What is STEPN GO All About?
STEPN GO is a unique app that combines social networking with gaming to encourage both fitness and social interaction. Users are rewarded with digital tokens and NFT sneakers for activities like walking, jogging, or running. These tokens and NFTs can be used within the app or traded on secondary markets. Signing up is straightforward, requiring just an email and an activation code.
The latest update introduces a new digital token called GGT (GO GAME TOKEN), which users can earn through physical activities. Alongside GGT, two new attributes, Charm and Karma, have been added. Charm influences the number of Outfit Fragments collected, which can be converted into various outfits to enhance an avatar’s appearance on the Interactive Map. This reflects the user’s social status within the game. Karma, on the other hand, is linked to PvP earnings through the new Schadenfreude Pool, where players compete based on leaderboard rankings.
Enhanced Sneaker Mechanics and The Haus System
STEPN GO has made significant changes to how the game handles energy and sneakers. Players can now increase their energy capacity by “burning” old or extra sneakers. This requires strategic decisions about which sneakers to sacrifice to boost energy. Additionally, the maximum level for sneakers has been raised from 20 to 60, allowing for more extensive upgrades.
One of the standout features in this update is the introduction of ‘The Haus,’ a system that allows users to lend their sneakers to others. This includes generating new Activation Codes, managing guests, and upgrading Haus status through different tiers, enhancing both functionality and prestige within the community.
Interactive Map and Social Interaction
To foster social interaction, an Interactive Map has been added, enabling users to see other players’ avatars and outfits in real time. The avatar system has also been enhanced, allowing for more customization and various outfits to be displayed, further promoting social engagement.
Understanding GGT Earnings in STEPN GO
The new GGT earnings mechanism allows users to earn tokens by engaging in physical activities while wearing their NFT Sneakers. Earnings depend on several factors:
- Sneaker Attributes: Type, level, and quality of sneakers, along with their Efficiency attribute.
- Gem and Socket Levels: Efficiency Gems and their socket quality.
- Energy Consumption: The amount of energy used during activities.
- Fitness Levels: Higher fitness levels lead to increased GGT earnings.
Schadenfreude Pool and PvP Leaderboard
STEPN GO has introduced the Schadenfreude Pool and enhanced PvP mechanics to increase competitive engagement. The Schadenfreude Pool gathers earnings from various sources, including accounts flagged for cheating and reduced earnings from inactive users. A portion of the GMT from the Decentralized Liquidity Pool also contributes to this pool, which is distributed to high-ranking players based on the PvP leaderboard.
Getting Started with STEPN GO
To begin using STEPN GO, users must register for an FSL ID, which uses an email for login and securely stores wallet seed phrases in the cloud. This ID simplifies access to STEPN GO and other FSL Ecosystem products. Upon registration, users receive an FSL Badge that tracks activity and earns FSL Points, usable within the ecosystem. The FSL ID and Badge also provide access to The MoonBase, a VR/AR platform where users can create and customize 3D avatars.
STEPN GO introduces significant updates with enhanced GGT earnings, new sneaker mechanics, and the dynamic VR/AR social platform, The MoonBase. As the app enters Alpha Testing, user feedback will be crucial in refining and improving these features, ensuring a more engaging and rewarding experience for all users.
